Yomi is a seasoned environment and industrial expert with vast international experience. He is presently the Environment Expert for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Regional Office Hub for Nigeria and West Africa in Abuja, overseeing issues of Environment, Water and Mining including international Conventions and Treaties. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry from Nigeria and England respectively and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the United Kingdom. Yomi is a Fellow of the Commonwealth Academy of Leadership and Management UK and a Fellow and member of several other professional bodies both in the UK and Nigeria.
He has received various national and international awards. He started his career at the headquarters of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and has also worked at the prestigious Old Trafford for Manchester United Football Club in England. He has represented and negotiated on behalf of Nigeria and UNIDO on various Environment and Industrial Programmes, and he is presently on several environment and industrial related steering committees at the Federal and States level in Nigeria and some African countries. He was recently a recipient of the UNIDO Director General Global Merit Award for 2018. Yomi has a passion to encourage young Africans towards self-sustenance.
