Amanda-Lumun Feese is mining sector expert with experience in undertaking private sector development reforms and strengthening governance and institutional frameworks in the mining sector. She is currently the Technical Adviser on mining strategy and governance in the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Development (MinDiver) project of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development (MMSD). In this role, she is supporting the ministry to undertake reforms to foster private sector participation in the Nigerian mining sector and enhance the socioeconomic benefits of mining to the Nigerian economy. Specifically, her role covers addressing access to finance and mining sector investment climate constraints and building a mining financing ecosystem. It also covers strengthening the linkages between mining and the rest of the Nigerian economy, enhancing regional development through a mineral resource corridor initiative, and creating sustainable opportunities for women in the mining sector. Previously, she served as the Technical Adviser on Mining Policy and Governance to the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development from May 2017 to March 2018. She is also the governance and private sector development expert within the Federal Government’s coal sector development delivery team.  
She began her mining sector career with the World Bank which she joined in 2009. At the World Bank, she supported the Federal Government to implement its extractives industry transparency program and mining, energy, oil and gas sector reform programs. This was through various technical assistance and lending projects focused on strengthening governance as well as designing and implementing private sector development strategies to facilitate sustainable private sector investments in each of the sectors. She also has technical assistance experience in Sao Tome & Principe to support their oil sector transparency program. Prior to this, she worked with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) where she managed the privatisation and sale of 75% of Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited’s equity to the Indorama Group for $225 million.  Early periods of her career were spent in commercial and merchant banking and retailing. Ms. Feese has a bachelor’s degree in management sciences from the University of Jos in 1997 and an MBA from Cardiff University in 2001.
